It should be of note that, on the machine that's running the server, you can log into the WebAdmin and manage your sever a little more easily. From here if your IP address is listed as 123.234.123.234, then others who want to connect to you will go to the console in-game and type open 123.234.123.234. Your external address can be found by going to. Or they can go to the console and access your server through your external IP address. As for others, who may be on other networks all over the world, they either need to find your server in the list, and add it as a favorite for easy access later. This console command will only work on the machine running the server. If it doesn't show up, open the console by pressing the ` key next to 1 on the number line and type open 127.0.0.1. To join the server on the machine that's running the server, you should be able to go to Browse Servers and just go to the LAN tab and find your server there. Also, you must launch the server and have it completely loaded before you start Killing Floor 2 on the same machine. Also, make sure you've launched the actual game KF2 at least once to go through DirectX setup. Keep in mind, any change you make to the main configuration file or any time you want to add a map, you need to restart the server using the batch file. This is important to set your server name, password, and other game things like difficulty and game length. This is another shortcut that opens the main configuration file. I've added two example custom maps (KF-BioticsLab2009-F1 and KF-WestLondon2009_Prerelease) just so that you can see how it's done. If you want to add custom maps, place them in here. This shortcut takes you to the folder containing all of the maps for the server. If you wanted to, you could run this batch file, start the server, and start playing right away. It verifies the contents in SteamCMD and then launches the server application. There are only 3 important files that you need to use when running this server, all located inside the SteamCMD folder.
